Two Non-Executive Directors, Medway NHS Foundation Trust

United Kingdom

At Medway NHS Foundation Trust, our aspiration is to be the best. This means providing the highest quality of care for our patients through employing highly skilled staff.

  • Dear Candidate

Thank you for your interest in joining our Board as a Non-Executive Director.

It is an exciting and pivotal time to join Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a acute hospital trust based in Gillingham, Kent, we are at the heart of the Medway and Swale communities, serving a population of over 427,000 people. With more than 5,000 colleagues and an active volunteer network, we are proud to be one of the largest employers in the region and a key part of our local economy.

Underpinning everything we do is our vision to deliver the Best of Care, Best of People by fostering a culture of bold leadership, inclusivity, and collaboration. We are focused on improving health outcomes, reducing inequalities, and ensuring the highest standards of financial sustainability and governance during this period of challenge and transformation for the NHS.

At Medway, we have a talented team with a clear ambition to deliver outstanding care for our patients. To support us on this journey, we are seeking two Non-Executive Directors, one to Chair the Audit Committee and the other to Chair the Finance Committee. These roles are central to providing strong, independent oversight and guidance while ensuring robust governance and financial transparency.

As a Non-Executive Director, you will play an influential role in shaping our future, championing our values of Bold, Every Person Counts, Sharing and Open, and Together. You will have the opportunity to inspire and challenge, bringing your skills and experience to bear on critical strategic decisions that will positively impact our staff, patients, and the wider community. In return, you will join a supportive and forward-thinking Board committed to collaboration, excellence, and openness.

This is a significant opportunity to contribute to healthcare improvement in an organisation of real scale and potential. If you share our ambition, values, and commitment to making a difference, I encourage you to apply.

For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Thomas Patterson, Managing Director, Alumni Global on thomas.patterson@alumniglobal.com.

Thank you again for your interest, and I look forward to hearing from you.
