Working in the east of England
Our Trust provides emergency and non-emergency care to patients in the east of England covering the six counties of Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
You get to work in one of the most diverse areas of the country; the bustling capital city is on our doorstep and the bracing North Sea envelopes our shores to the east.
We've got historical cathedral towns and cities, brand new communities, rural broadlands and some of the busiest arteries of road and rail networks, including the M25, A14, M1, M11 and A12, and railway lines from London Liverpool Street out to Cambridge, Norwich, Peterborough, Colchester and Southend.
Wherever you go in the east of England there is always something to see and do; but if travelling around the UK and beyond is a must for you as well, the Luton, Stansted, Norwich and Southend airports couldn't make it more easier to stay in touch with loved ones or send you on a deserved holiday or short break.

Operating across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire, EEAST serves a diverse and growing population of approximately 6.2m people. Our dedicated team of over 5,000 staff and 1,200 volunteers work tirelessly to deliver high quality, compassionate care. To realise this vision, we are seeking a committed, inclusive, and inspiring individual to join our Board as a NED. This role is vital in providing independent oversight, constructive challenge, and strategic guidance to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional care and drive forward our improvement journey.
As a NED, you will bring your expertise and experience to help shape the future of EEAST. We are particularly interested in candidates with clinical, quality, and patient safety expertise gained from medical, nursing, or allied disciplines at a senior level across different sectors.
