This is a significant joint clinical and academic leadership opportunity to shape the future of Surgery and Anaesthesia across Monash Health and Monash University.

The successful candidate will provide senior medical leadership across Monash Health’s Surgery and Anaesthesia Program while leading the academic direction of Surgery at Monash University. The role will drive excellence in quality and safety, clinical performance, workforce and culture, while advancing clinical innovation, service reform and new models of care. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified senior clinical leaders from either a surgical or anaesthesia background, with the experience and standing to lead across the Surgery and Anaesthesia Program.

A key priority will be to strengthen the connection between clinical and academic Surgery, harnessing the considerable expertise and innovation across the clinical program to accelerate research growth, translational impact and academic development.
