Dear Candidate
Thank you for your interest in joining East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT). I am delighted that you are considering the opportunity to join us at this crucial time in our journey and taking on the crucial executive post of Director of Estates and Facilities.
ESNEFT is one of the largest trusts in the country, serving a diverse population across Suffolk and North East Essex and surrounding communities. Our dedicated teams work tirelessly to deliver high quality, compassionate care.
We are now seeking an experienced, strategic, and forward thinking leader to join our executive team as Director of Estates and Facilities. This role is integral to ensuring our estate and facilities support the delivery of excellent patient care by providing safe, efficient, and sustainable environments across our hospital and community sites.
The Director of Estates and Facilities will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive estates strategy, ensuring that our facilities and infrastructure are fit for purpose, resilient, and aligned with the needs of our services and patients. The role requires a leader with the vision to drive service improvement, strong technical expertise, and the ability to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence across the organisation.
We are focused on several key priorities, including:
Developing and implementing a strategic estates plan that meets the evolving needs of our patients and staff
Leading the estates and facilities functions, including maintenance, capital development, health and safety, security, and sustainability initiatives
Driving operational efficiencies and ensuring the highest standards of compliance, safety, and service delivery
Engaging with key stakeholders, including NHSE, local authorities, and system partners, to align estates and facilities planning with wider healthcare objectives
Embedding a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in estates and facilities management
This is a great opportunity to make a lasting impact within a dynamic and evolving trust that plays a vital role in the lives of our communities. If you are a strategic, compassionate, and outcome focused leader with the expertise and ambition to shape the future of our estate and facilities services, then please do consider applying.
I look forward to meeting you through the process.
Yours sincerely
Shane Gordon
