Clinical Director Mental Health, Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service
The role of the Clinical Director, Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical leadership and direction to benefit the patients accessing the Mental Health and Specialised Services in the SCHHS.
The Clinical Director MHSS leads and manages the provision of Psychiatry services in accordance with the standards and the ethics of the profession; and in accordance with the SCHHS and Queensland Health (QH) policies.
About the Sunshine Coast University Hospital
Our service delivery sees acute inpatient care and sub-speciality services based at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and Nambour General Hospital (NGH). These services provide short to medium term inpatient assessment and treatment of serious mental illnesses. An emergency department response is provided at SCUH, NGH and Gympie hospital. The Janelle Killick Community Care Unit located at Mountain Creek is a 35-bed residential rehabilitation facility with 24hr support from a multidisciplinary team to develop skills for successful transition to community living.
The Sunshine Coast MHSS provides hospital-based inpatient, residential, community / ambulatory mental health services and community alcohol and drug service to those living within the Sunshine Coast region.
