Executive Director Nursing Services

Reporting to the Health Service Chief Executive, the Executive Director Nursing Services holds overarching accountability for the leadership, strategy and performance of nursing across both hospital and community settings. The role serves as the principal authority on paediatric nursing models of care, clinical standards and workforce capability, while also acting as a trusted advisor to Queensland Health and government on nursing and paediatric care priorities.

Operating within a three-pillar environment encompassing clinical care, academia and research, the role is uniquely positioned to drive integration across these domains. As part of a cohesive executive team, the Executive Director Nursing Services will contribute to organisational strategy while strengthening alignment between service delivery, research translation and workforce development.
