Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Monash Health and the Dean, Sub Faculty of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, Monash University, the successful candidate will provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership of Monash Children’s Hospital while leading the academic direction of child health across Monash University.

The role is responsible for delivering excellence in quality, safety and patient experience, leading a high performing multidisciplinary workforce, and driving research growth, academic excellence and international reputation. The successful candidate will build strong partnerships across health services, research institutes, government and industry, and position Monash Children’s Hospital and the Department of Paediatrics as globally recognised leaders in paediatric care and research.

Monash Children’s Hospital is one of Victoria’s two tertiary paediatric services. Monash Children's Hospital is located at Monash Health’s Clayton site and provides care across multiple acute and community sites across the network, including at Dandenong and Casey Hospitals. In addition, Monash Children's Hospital also provides a large domiciliary service, Monash Children’s at Home. Monash Children’s Hospital is Australia’s third-largest children’s hospital with 300 beds and is Victoria’s largest provider of neonatal services, and one of two state wide neonatal surgical centres.
