Your mission
As President of Mining, you have full global P&L accountability and lead the global organization of around 20,000 employees across nine divisions in a decentralized business model. You take responsibility for sustaining industry‑leading profitability while driving both organic and acquired growth toward the long‑term ambition of 100 billion SEK in revenue.

Your key responsibilities include:

Driving continued profitable growth across strategic focus areas such as underground and surface drilling solutions, automation and mining software, and electrification.
Accelerating aftermarket expansion, leveraging Sandvik’s large installed base and lifecycle value.
Leading the business and its customers toward the net‑zero mine of the future, including the goal of a fully electric underground hard rock offering by 2030.
Balancing organic growth with selective M&A and integration.
Ensuring strong short‑term operational execution while enabling long‑term strategic transformation.
Contributing broadly within Sandvik’s Group Executive Management team, as well as in board and investor interactions.
Fostering a collaborative environment built on psychological safety and leading by example according to Sandvik’s core values.

This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and requires extensive global travelling.

Your profile
As a successful candidate, you bring extensive international executive experience, including deep exposure to relevant industrial environments. You possess a strategic mindset and well‑developed financial acumen, enabling sound judgment and high‑impact decision‑making.

Key qualifications include a proven track record of driving growth, profitability and transformation with full P&L responsibility in large, complex and global businesses. You have the ability to lead effectively in decentralized business models, combining advanced technology leadership with strong commercial acumen.

Experience from relevant businesses and customer segments, such as mining, infrastructure, automation, electrification and/or aftermarket is highly valuable, as is experience from international M&A and integration processes. It is also meriting if you have prior experience engaging with boards of directors, investors, media and other external stakeholders.

On a personal level, you bring excellent strategic and analytical capabilities and thrive in complex and rapidly changing settings. You are composed, calm and resilient, with a strong customer focus and the ability to prioritize, delegate and empower your teams. You lead with inspiration and collaboration, communicate with clarity and credibility, and build trust across cultures. Your curiosity, humility and down‑to‑earth approach are complemented by the highest standards in safety, sustainability and business ethics.
