We are looking for an Energy Strategy & Trading Manager who wants to play a key role in shaping how industrial electricity consumption is optimized and traded across European energy markets.

You will play a central role in defining our strategy, developing new trading models, and ensuring we stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.

About the role
The role is broad and business-critical, with significant responsibility and many touchpoints. You will work closely with both the product and tech teams while driving market strategy and building relationships with key stakeholders. You will take on a broad, highly varied role with many different responsibilities, spanning everything from strategy and analysis to hands-on work in projects and customer interactions.
You will among other things:
Own and develop Skye’s electricity market strategy, with a particular focus on the Nordics
Identify where and how we compete across balancing and wholesale energy markets
Work closely with product and tech to translate market insights into algorithmic trading and automated strategies
Contribute to the development of our trading platform, including launching new solutions for intraday trading and flexibility
Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. REMIT, BSP) and guide the company in a complex regulatory landscape
Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders such as BRPs, energy retailers, Svenska kraftnät, and other authorities
Act as Skye’s voice in market and regulatory matters
Participating as an advisor in customer dialogues and partnerships

Who we are looking for
We believe you have a strong foundation in energy markets and a deep understanding of how the system and markets work in practice.
You likely have:
Several years of experience from energy markets, for example as a market analyst, trader/portfolio manager, or in a regulatory or market-facing role
A deep understanding of Nordic electricity markets (differences, structure, development)
Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as REMIT and BSP
Experience working closely with product/tech or in project-based environments
The ability to translate complex market dynamics into practical business solutions
It is a plus if you have:
Experience in trading (electricity, gas, oil, or financial markets)
Worked with algorithmic trading or optimization
Academic specialization (e.g. MSc or PhD in a relevant field)
