Director of Burns, Alfred Health
Director of Burns, Alfred Health
Melbourne, Victoria
As Director of Burns, you will shape the future of complex surgical services across the full continuum of care—from acute injury to rehabilitation. This role offers a rare opportunity to lead in clinical governance, research, education, and service innovation, while driving improvements in patient outcomes and advancing the field of burns and reconstructive surgery.
The position is evenly split between clinical practice and strategic leadership, allowing for meaningful influence over care delivery, team performance, and quality improvement initiatives. You will lead the development of new models of care, mentor both junior and senior clinicians, and contribute to statewide service planning and policy development. We are seeking a suitably qualified surgeon with significant expertise in burns and reconstructive surgery, a passion for teaching and research, and a proven track record in collaborative leadership, operational strategy, and staff development.
