As the Business Unit Director for Northern & Central Europe, you will lead the strategic and commercial efforts across the Nordic, DACH, Benelux, and UK markets. Reporting directly to the CEO and as a part of the Geveko Markings management team, you will be responsible for driving commercial success, market share growth, and profitability. You will oversee sales, marketing, and customer service teams, while also ensuring strong collaboration with the European operations team. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of market dynamics and a focus on continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to enhance growth and profitability.

  • Team Management: Lead, recruit, and motivate high-performing teams, ensuring high levels of employee engagement.

  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, optimizing margins and profitability.

  • Sales & Marketing: Drive sales growth, improve pricing strategies, and enhance customer service across the region.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the COO and Global Procurement Director to align commercial and operational strategies.

  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

  • Development Projects: Lead initiatives to professionalize sales processes, optimize product portfolios, and improve cross-functional cooperation.


Travel Requirements
This role will require both regional and international travel within Europe, with approximately 50-60 days of travel per year.


Candidate Profile

  • Experience: At least 5 years in a similar industry such as the road marking industry, construction, coatings, industrial manufacturing, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and managing teams in an international setting.

  • Education: A bachelor’s or advanced degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field is required.

  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in financial analysis and managing organizational change.

  • Language: Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language.

  • Personal Traits: Visionary leader with strong communication and negotiation skills. Socially skilled, unpretentious, and a strong team player with high integrity.
