We’re looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d) to take full responsibility for the whole supply chain, including procurement, in our Pforzheim site.

In this role you’ll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Finance to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important. You should also possess a strategic, analytical mind, have experience in project management as well as great leadership and communication ability.


Key areas of responsibility

  • Develops an appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand

  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence and inventory management

  • Manage the team of Production Planners and Procurement

  • Establishes a clear mindset for the Supply Chain to be the centre of the Site and driving customer demand to Execution

  • Develop a process to take raw sales data into a consolidated demand to generate actionable production plans for both weekly production schedules as well as rough cut capacity planning view to support long-term resource and investment planning.

  • Lead the implementation and local ownership of the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process, including alignment with the global rollout and integration into operational routines.

  • Serve as a cross-functional communicator, collaborating closely with production, operations, quality, procurement, and customer service

  • Work directly with subcontractors, defined by procurement to manage external delivery timelines and integrate them into a master production schedule.Monitors and corrects inventory levels to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.

  • Supports and sometimes leads implementation and utilization of all digital infrastructure, including ERP and MES systems.

  • Leading role in the implementation of the ElosDigital ECO System on Site (SAP/MESTEC)

  • Champion a team-oriented approach, contributing to a collaborative planning and delivery culture

  • Control of the material flow within the factory

  • Annual capex planning in coordination with Engineering and Controlling as well as Site Management

  • Negotiation of long-term framework agreements with local and global suppliers in cooperation with the purchasing department

  • Identification of savings potential in all company-related areas

  • Ensure supply chain strategies and planning processes are tightly integrated with CNC machining operations and production capacities at the site

Requirements

  • Degree in Logistics, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field

  • Several years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a regulated industry (e.g., medical technology, aerospace, automotive)

  • Expert understanding of logistics-, production planning and procurement processes

  • Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with production and quality departments

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, assertiveness, and strategic thinking

  • Experience in CNC machining or metalworking environments is highly desirable.

  • Experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) implementation and process leadership is expected.

  • Fluent in German with good command of English for international coordination
