Role Overview
On behalf of Elos Medtech, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Manager to lead their CNC manufacturing operations in Pforzheim. Reporting directly to the Site Managing Director, the successful candidate will take full operational responsibility for ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team development.
Key Responsibilities
The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of CNC manufacturing in a complex, multi-shift operation:
Lead all CNC production activities (milling, turning, grinding, EDM).
Ensure reliable, high-quality, and efficient production processes.
Monitor and improve machine availability, capacity utilization, and overall efficiency.
Manage and develop a team of around 250 employees, including supervisors and team leads.
Strengthen collaboration with the supply chain, production planning, and logistics teams.
Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs (CIP).
Analyze KPIs such as OEE, scrap rates, and changeover times to inform strategic decisions.
Contribute to cross-site initiatives within the wider Elos Medtech Group.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who bring a strong mix of technical knowledge and leadership ability:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Several years of experience managing CNC manufacturing operations, preferably in a regulated environment (e.g., medtech, aerospace, automotive).
Deep understanding of machining processes, production planning, and lean methods.
Strong leadership skills, team development experience, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Fluent in German and comfortable communicating in English within an international group.
