Dear Colleagues
This is an exciting time for SHSC. We are committed to continuing our journey of learning, development and improvement and are looking ahead, planning for the future, and implementing changes that will sustain our drive to provide both high quality services and a great place to work.
We are looking for an outstanding, progressive, and values-based leader to join us as the new Executive Director of Nursing, Professions and Quality at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust (SHSC). Someone who will take us forward on the next stage of our development, show ambition for our staff and service users and work with partners to inspire, innovate and deliver, and help us achieve and celebrate excellence.
A complex and multifaceted provider, we provide care and support across health and social care, working closely with a wide range of organisations and partners including those from the NHS, Voluntary and Community Sector, Sheffield City Council and our academic partners at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. The relationships across the health and care systems of South Yorkshire enable us to make a positive difference for the diverse communities we serve. System working will be central to our future success, improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities, and the new Director will play an active role in shaping and developing collaborative and partnership working across the South Yorkshire system, the South Yorkshire Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Provider Collaborative, as well as within Sheffield Place.
As our Executive Director of Nursing, Professions and Quality you will be an ambassador for compassionate and inclusive leadership, service user and staff engagement and partnership working, being a champion for safe and effective care and putting quality at the heart of everything we do. You will have a passion for service users, carers and families, staff and volunteers, partnership working and collaboration, and an inspirational leadership style underpinned by empathy and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing mental health, learning disability and care providers and the wider health and care system.
We are keen to hear from both aspirant and established Executive Directors working in health, care and related sectors who demonstrate the values, skills, and behaviours necessary to take us on the next stage of our journey. We actively encourage applications from the widest possible pool of candidates and particularly those from underrepresented and minority backgrounds, in order to ensure we are reflective of the diversity of our staff and the communities we serve and if your ambition matches ours, we look forward to hearing from you.
For a confidential discussion on this role and details of how to apply please contact Simon Green or Beth Stickney at Alumni Global on +447703 821996.
Yours sincerely
Salma Yasmeen
