About the Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics

Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics (MTHC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Melbourne (UoM) and provides world class clinical training opportunities for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences students. It also provides patient access to high quality health care for members of the Victorian community, within a private practice setting. There are six clinical areas that are central to this service, and they include general medical practice, dentistry, optometry, audiology, speech pathology and psychology.

 
 
 
 

About the role

As the Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics (MTHC), your primary responsibility is to deliver the goals outlined in the MTHC Strategic Plan and the associated performance indicators established by the Board. This involves growing and sustaining the delivery of high-quality primary care, driving innovation and research throughout the organisation, facilitating collaborative research, and training the next generation of health care professionals. 

Reporting to the Board, you will be accountable for making quality decisions and working toward sustainable outcomes in accordance with the strategic plan and associated operational plans. Under the direction of the Chair, you will ensure timely and accurate reporting on all aspects of the operation (inclusive of performance, engagement, and risk) to the MTHC Board and the University of Melbourne's governing bodies.
