In December 2023 the acquisition of Klingel Holding GmbH was announced. A leading European CMO and CDMO in the field of precision technology with a strategic focus on medical technology for more than 30 years. With eight company locations in Southern Germany and Switzerland and around 950 employees across the group, Klingel specializes in the manufacture of high-precision parts and complex assemblies, implants and instruments for different applications in medical technology.

Elos Medtech has today more than 1500 employees with a turnover of approximately 250 MEUR. Operations are conducted at 13 facilities in six countries located globally, including Europe, the US and China. The business is organized in five Business units Ortho, Dental, Spine and Procedure Kits, Precision and Life Science.


Role Overview
As the Sales Director for our Surgical division, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business, expanding market share, and fostering strategic client relationships. Reporting to the VP & Sales Surgical, you will be instrumental in increasing their current sales revenue and increasing Elos Medtech’s footprint in the surgical market.

The position is based in Pforzheim, Germany, but for logistic reasons we expect you to work from home.


Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for Business Development, Sales and Key account management

  • Planning, organization, and implementation of sales activities

  • Establish and maintain close relationships with key customers

  • Acquisition of new customers and projects

  • Prepare and submit offers in close cooperation with the local NPI team.

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within the Group, support sales of other business units where necessary or appropriate.

  • Monitor and improve KPIs for growths, contribution margin, hit ratio etc. in close cooperation with the respective Business Partner Controlling

  • Support organizing and participate in trade fairs (Germany and international)

  • Monitor market trends (Life Science), customer performance, and industry best practices to identify opportunities.


Candidate Profile

  • Extensive knowledge of the medical device market, preferably in Endoscopy, robot assisted surgery, cardiovascular surgery, cancer treatment or similar

  • 5+ years of experience in international sales; a “hunter” mentality

  • Bachelor’s in business, engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred

  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and analytical skills

  • Hands-on, strong drive and self-motivating

  • Fluent in German and English
