Monash University is seeking an outstanding academic leader to serve as Professor and Head of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. This is a rare and influential opportunity to lead one of the largest and most comprehensive schools of public health in the Asia–Pacific region, shaping research, education and policy impact at scale. Based at Monash’s Alfred Hospital campus, the role sits at the heart of one of Australia’s most integrated clinical, research and public health ecosystems.
The Professor and Head of School will provide strategic, intellectual and operational leadership to advance the School’s national and international standing as a world-class centre for public health and preventive medicine. The appointee will lead major research and educational programs, foster a shared vision for future growth, and strengthen engagement with government, industry, health services and global partners. With responsibility for a large and diverse academic community, this role offers the opportunity to shape population-level health outcomes through evidence, policy influence and system-wide impact.
