Bio

In her role at Alumni Global, Martina Runhellen manages the full recruitment process, from defining the role requirements and developing search strategies to candidate interviews, references and follow-up, with a strong focus on relationship building and quality at every stage. Her searches are primarily for technology and consumer-oriented businesses, and she also recruits specialists and works in other industries.

For more than seven years, since 2019, Martina Runhellen has worked in executive search and recruitment, covering leadership, specialist and commercial roles across a broad range of industries. Before joining Alumni Global she spent four years with another Nordic executive search firm. She started as a Researcher in its Tech team, which recruits at board, executive and management level across the technology sector, and later became Senior Researcher, running end-to-end recruitment processes for managers, senior specialists and commercial roles. Her first research role, from 2019, was at Jurek Recruitment & Staffing, where she identified candidates for marketing and communications roles.

Before executive search, Martina Runhellen's career spanned marketing, communications, financial services, health and coaching, including media planning at Carat, affiliate and search marketing for FMCG clients at Tradedoubler and B2B marketing at Euler Hermes. That background gives her a broad commercial perspective and an ability to quickly understand different organisations and business models. Her work in health and coaching has also strengthened her interest in culture, well-being and sustainable work environments.

Martina Runhellen holds a bachelor's degree in Media and Communication Studies from Växjö University, now part of Linnaeus University, and the AESC Certificate in Executive Research (2023) from the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants.
