Malin Söhr is a Senior Executive Consultant at Alumni Global, leading executive search assignments for senior and C-suite positions. She focuses on M&A, CFO, corporate finance, investment, investor relations and business development appointments for publicly listed and privately held companies, investment and private equity firms, and private equity-backed businesses.
Bio
Malin specialises in executive search within M&A and corporate development. She has led searches for positions including Head of M&A, M&A Director and M&A Manager, recruiting leaders responsible for target identification, valuation, financial modelling, due diligence, negotiation and post-merger integration. M&A also forms part of several of her CFO, strategy and growth assignments.
Malin's assignments span corporate finance, investor relations and financial communication, as well as the full CFO scope, including tax and treasury positions with responsibility for shareholder dialogue, financial reporting, capital structure and IPO readiness.
Malin has placed leaders into publicly listed and privately held companies, investment and private equity firms, and private equity-backed businesses, across financial services, fintech, legal, real estate, technology and industrial sectors. Those mandates include CFO, Head of Treasury, Head of M&A and Head of Business Development appointments, often in organisations pursuing acquisitions, scaling their operations or undertaking broader organisational development.
Before joining Alumni Global, Malin held positions as Head of Search and Research Consultant, running executive search projects with a focus on change management roles in IT, finance, legal, insurance and tax. Her responsibilities included managing recruitment processes, leading research teams, mapping executive talent and developing operational processes for the delivery of search assignments.
Earlier in her career, Malin worked in international higher education, drawing on experience of living and working abroad. She built partner relationships, supported student recruitment and helped establish and run an organisation for international study programmes.
Malin holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Communication and a Master's degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology from Salem State University in the United States. She is certified in the MAP/MAPx and Matrigma assessment tools.
