University of Lincoln
At the University of Lincoln, we are entering a decisive phase in our development - one that demands bold, delivery-focused academic leadership. We are therefore seeking two outstanding Pro Vice-Chancellors and a new Dean of Lincoln International Business School who collectively will play a defining role in accelerating our institutional impact.
As Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research & Commercialisation), you will lead the strategic integration of research excellence with enterprise and innovation. Commercialisation is central to this brief: scaling knowledge exchange, strengthening industry partnerships, increasing IP generation and spin-out activity, and building a coherent innovation ecosystem that converts research strength into sustainable income and regional economic growth. Alongside enhancing REF performance and expanding external research funding, you will embed an entrepreneurial culture across the University - positioning Lincoln as a catalyst for business growth, civic prosperity and global collaboration.
As Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching Innovation), you will drive transformational change in our educational model. This role calls for visionary leadership in curriculum redesign, digital and AI-enabled learning, inclusive pedagogy and future-focused academic quality. You will champion bold innovation that enhances student success, graduate outcomes and institutional distinctiveness - ensuring Lincoln delivers an education that is adaptive, creative and genuinely transformative.
As Dean of Lincoln International Business School, you will lead a bold and transformative repositioning of the School - reshaping its academic portfolio to ensure it is distinctive, future-focused and globally competitive in responsible business, sustainability and digital transformation. You will expand high-impact international, industry and executive partnerships, strengthening commercial performance, research intensity and transnational reach. In doing so, you will position LIBS as a catalyst for regional economic growth and a recognised leader in innovative, responsible business education.
Together, these roles will shape Lincoln’s future trajectory and impact.

Set against the backdrop of a beautiful and historic city, the University of Lincoln sits at the heart of it all on the picturesque Brayford Pool waterfront, with almost everything you’ll need either on campus or just a short walk away.
We are proud of what we have achieved since we were established in 1996, thanks to the contributions of everyone in our community. Our journey has seen us flourish into a diverse, internationally recognised university which welcomes thousands of students each year from around the world. In November 2023 we were awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize, the UK's highest award for universities, to recognise our work supporting the agri-food sector.
Throughout this exciting period of development, we have been guided by a consistent set of principles which remain at the heart of our approach today: excellence in teaching, learning, and quality of student experience; responsiveness to the needs of communities and organisations; and working in partnership to make great things happen. To help us continue on this journey, we have developed an ambitious strategic plan, created collaboratively by staff and students across the University, with the aim of establishing ourselves as a UK top 40 institution.
