Sustainability policy

At Alumni Global, we recognise that our operations have an impact on the environment, society, and economy. As an international executive search company, we are committed to promoting sustainability and responsible business practices.

Sustainability should be integrated in the daily operations and considered in every decision made. Clear guidelines and routines shall be developed to enable all employees to make environmentally conscious decisions.  We shall act as a role model and as far as possible use environmentally friendly products.

Scope and objectives

This Policy is valid for all Alumni Global companies/subsidiaries and applies to all employees, as well as consultants who work at Alumni premises or under the direction of Alumni Global. This Policy provides an overview of Alumni Global’s principles covering

  1. Environmental Stewardship

  2. Social Responsibility

  3. Economic Sustainability

Our long-term sustainability objectives are:

  • Reduce the carbon footprint by 50% year on year.

  • Contribute to a more diverse society by outperforming industry standards in our assignments.

Environmental Sustainability

At Alumni Global, we are committed to conducting our business in a way that is environmentally and socially responsible. We believe that this is not only the right thing to do, but also essential for the long-term success of our company.

To continually reduce our environmental impact, we will take the following actions:

  • Implement energy efficiency measures in our office buildings and facilities, such as upgrading to LED lighting and installing energy-efficient appliances.

  • Encourage the use of public transportation, carpooling, and other sustainable modes of transportation among our employees.

  • Purchase renewable energy credits to offset the carbon emissions from our electricity use.

  • Work with our suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of the goods and services we purchase.

  • Implement a recycling program for paper, plastic, and other materials in our office.

We recognise that sustainability is a shared responsibility, and we are committed to engaging with our stakeholders on these issues. This includes our clients, employees, and other interested parties. We will make information about our sustainability efforts and performance publicly available through our annual sustainability report and other channels.

We are committed to continuous improvement in our sustainability performance, and will regularly review and update this policy as needed.

Environmental Stewardship

Our clients shall feel confident in knowing that we continuously develop our services and products so that they comply with environmental objectives and legal requirements of the society. Applicable environmental laws, legislations and other requirements set the foundation for our environmental targets and improvement initiatives, and we naturally look at the same requirements for all suppliers we work with.

Resource Efficiency

We will strive to minimise our consumption of natural resources by adopting efficient technologies, reducing waste, and conserving energy and water throughout our operations.

Climate Action

We will actively work to reduce our carbon footprint by monitoring and managing our greenhouse gas emissions. We will promote energy conservation, encourage the use of renewable energy sources, and support initiatives to mitigate climate change.

Waste Management

We will implement effective waste management practices, including recycling, reducing waste generation, and properly disposing of hazardous materials. We will encourage our employees to adopt sustainable waste management habits both in the workplace and at home.

Pollution prevention

The foundation of our environmental work is a conscious ambition to care for the environment by using renewable resources as much as possible, as well as avoid the use of environmentally destructive substances, thereby preventing pollution.

Environmentally friendly offices and workspaces

We continuously strive for reducing our energy consumption in all of our offices and workplaces, both in terms of the external environment, indoor environment and the working environment. We have adapted our office routines and always work to economise with resources and energy. We shall reduce the amount of consumables and strive to repair and reuse office material as much as possible. When possible, we use eco-labelled equipment and material.

Suppliers

Our services/products and our actions towards our clients and suppliers shall mirror our environmental mindset at Alumni. Our choice of suppliers shall be characterised by our environmental policy and our environmental objectives and shall form the basis for increased environmental requirements from our suppliers and their products . Where possible, we purchase organically produced or fairtrade food, drinks, fruit and other consumable products. All aspects of raw material and product consumption, transports and waste handling should be taken into consideration when looking at a product’s environmental impact

Transport and travels

The choice of mode of transportation, where we as far as possible exchange travels for video conferencing, saving of paper by using electronic mail and other digital solutions, etc. All employees are encouraged to utilise public transportation as much as possible, and to walk or cycle to and from work or clients when possible
