The Head of Unit (HoU) is a key leadership role within the medical leadership structure at Western Health and is essential in delivery of best care to our clients. The HoU with the support of the Divisional Director Clinical Service Director and the Director Obstetrics & Gynaecology is accountable for leading and managing units to meet Western Health’s strategic plans and the provision of Best Care for our consumers.

The Division of Women’s & Children’s Services provides care across multiple sites within the Western catchment, predominantly at Sunshine/ Joan Kirner, but also at Bacchus Marsh/Melton and within the local community. The Division collaborates across several Divisions within Western Health and partners with external health services and community services to ensure the provision of Best Care.

The Division will continue to innovate and develop services and care options across Western Health to ensure Best Care for the community of Western Melbourne.
