We believe that companies have a responsibility to play a constructive part within the community at large, and that social, environmental and ethical considerations are critical aspects of the decision making process to create a long term sustainable business.
We also believe that success comes from a place of passion and long-term commitment. As a result, we actively promote our employees' personal non-profit affiliations, participation in the democratic process and financial support for worthy charities and community projects.
However, the most significant impact we have is the way we conduct our business, and how we advise our clients.
We stand for a transparent way of doing business, free from unjust prejudice and misrepresentation. We place high importance on both our clients’ and candidates’ ethics.
Beyond making sure that we have appropriate processes in our client engagements, we actively support select charities and non-profits. Our contribution primarily relates to pro bono or significantly discounted fees to organisations which share our values.

Founded in 2008 by Carol Rosati at Harvey Nash London, Inspire is a unique platform for top women in board positions. Inspire facilitates meetings and connections across industries and sectors.
The network started in the UK, but has quickly spread to New York, California, Hong Kong, Paris, Sydney and the Nordics. Along side producing thought leadership through surveys and reports, Inspire also hosts events with keynote speakers on a regular basis, allowing our members access to an international forum. Since we are an executive search firm, we can really create opportunities for our members.

Supporting our society
As well as making charitable donations, we believe it equally important that we also share and offer our services and expertise. We do this by giving of our personal commitment and time, conducting pro bono work or engagements with significantly reduced fees.
A number of our senior partners also have on-going commitments in not-for-profit advisory boards.
We have a tradition of making a yearly Christmas donation to an organisation whose values falls in line with our own and for the past two years we have sponsored Hand-In-Hand, helping to fight poverty through job and business creation – real life Success Through People.

Our work is always guided by our ethical principles, respecting both the clients’ confidentiality and the candidates’ integrity.
We have clear internal policies governing issues such as how we handle confidential information about our clients and candidates, insider dealing and which clients we work with.
Several of our consultants are authorised by ESK, a professional association for authorized consultants who work with executive search. ESK promotes professional codes of ethics and competence requirements.
Operating within the service industry, we inherently cause less damage to the environment than many other business sectors.
However, we recognise that our business must minimise its impact on the environment and we utilise recommendations from the Carbon Trust to reduce the carbon footprint of our organisation.
We actively work to reduce the impact of business travel upon the environment, by encouraging public transportation and the use of webinars and video conferencing wherever possible. We also work consciously to reduce our power consumption and heat output, in order to conserve energy and be as efficient as possible.
The Women’s Directorship Programme
Established in 2013, the Women's Directorship Programme (WDP) is a joint venture between Harvey Nash and The University of Hong Kong, Executive Education of the Faculty of Business and Economics.
The programme is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to demonstrate they are ready for the responsibilities of the boardroom as a Director or Non-Executive Director.
